I deleted Twitter and Instagram. Here’s where to find me.

There’s a lot going on these days in the realm of social media, and it’s not good. It’s become a very toxic place: hate, politics, ad hominems, incitement of violence, dehumanization, etc. As someone who only wanted an open platform to share music, fun and my services as a DJ for hire, it’s become clear that places like Twitter and Instagram are no longer the open platform to all, but the dystopian platform for the few chosen whether they be chosen for their politics, wealth, influence, or other algorithmically predetermined criteria.

As mentioned in my Deletion Announcement Post, effective February 1, 2021, my Twitter and Instagram accounts would be removed due to moral and ethical concerns. As of the writing of this post, they are indeed deleted.

Fear not, we’re on to bigger and better things. I will be blogging regularly (I hope), so djfredo.com is always up to date with the latest and greatest. I am still on LinkedIn, MixCloud and Dlive. Additionally I am now on Telegram. We’re going to keep on grooving and growing on platforms that don’t hate on their users, AND we’re going to have a good time doing it, why not.

We’re going to do Virtual Dance Parties again real soon, I’m looking into performing in various places so you may be able to see me in person, as events open up, the Event Calendar will get more events posted, I’m also looking into more social media platforms that would help spread music, fun and awesomeness, so please follow so you don’t stay out of the loop!
